It was the 94.7 Highveld Stereo and Pick ‘n Pay cycle race this morning. The race has become very popular with the cycling fraternity and now that Joburgers have learnt to deal with the traffic congestion and in general it seems to get pretty good press coverage.

Last weekend, 94.7 Highveld stereo had their annual Joburg Day event.
I haven’t heard much in the way of feedback but I believe the event went off without many hitches?
All the bands showed up and did their stuff. Was the event a sell-out? What was the sound quality like? Parking?

I believe that Mark Pilgrim had a mild heart attack yesterday. This hugely popular TV and Radio presenter has been one of the industry stalwarts and we wish him a speedy recovery.

It is probably just me and my lack of culture showing through again but…. (!) … what are the decent evening radio shows these days.
I used to listen to Revin John and Lloyd Debruyn on Highveld religiously when they were on. These days I hardly feel inspired to switch on the radio in the evenings.

Jeremy Mansfield and “Simphiwe” don’t mess around when they take a swipe at somebody…
The team made fun of Bafana Bafana and Benni McCarthy pulling out of the side. Simphiwe’s argument was that Bafana Bafana were useless anyway and the only time South Africans beat won anything was when they BEAT FOREIGNERS AT HOME….
