Radio Review

Something I have been meaning to throw out for a while but it came out in some conversations I had early this week and I thought I should blog about it…

The Pick ‘n Pay / 94.7 Highveld Stereo Cycle Challenge is coming up soon and without question this is a great event which a lot of people participate in. However a lot of my mates have been whinging about all the road closures and generally ‘disruptions’ that events like this and the 702 “walk the talk” create.

I’ve seen a bit of mention about it on some websites and in community newspapers as well.

People grumble that roads are closed off and / or congested and this stops them going about their daily routines while other people participate.

My feeling is that these events take up 1 day a year and should be allowed to continue. Dunno - do any of our readers get negatively affected by events like these to such a huge extent that they think they should be cancelled?
