Restaurant poser
Ok I’ll admit I’m a little bored blogging at weird hours of the day but anyways I have a question about something that came up yesterday:
Where are the really GREAT restaurants in SA?!
Now obviously this has a lot to do with personal taste but I thought it might be fun to make some suggestions for restaurants in various Provinces that people could try when they land up in different cities in SA?
Now remember I said GREAT - good restaurants, there are plenty of. GREAT implies that they have that special “Have to try” atmosphere. I think if you look at my picks below you’ll realise how different the various places are - not necessarily LARNY food or facilities - but they all have a GREAT atmosphere.
The 3 that I could think of after limited soul searching were:
1. Quay4 at the Watefront in Cape Town - for me this is the highlight of Cape Town - Yum!
2. Maharaj Indian Restaurant in Sloane Street in Gauteng - I challenge anyone to find a better Indian restaurant in SA
3. The Jolly Roger in Greenside in Gauteng - I can’t tell you what the appeal of the Jolly Roger is but its one of those places that you simply keep going back to.
