Not really a Radio industry related post, but I have just read the article about Amazon blacklisting the South African Post Office as a service provider. Now if you want to order a DVD or book from them, you can expect to pay an additional R420 courier fee… Madness..
Might be an opportunity for Loot to [...]

Did anyone out there attend the Seether concert this weekend? What was it like? The feedback I have had so far was that it was absolutely mind blowing and the audience was treated to a real show. Apparently Stealing Love jones were also a brilliant support act….
Let me know…

The Fugitive was “unmasked” this morning and he was none other than Kyle from the 94.7 “Ground Patrol team” - thats a bit disappointing that they pulled from their own staff to fill it but thats just my own personal grumble.
We will see if we can get a picture up of Kyle during the course of the [...]

I always keep an eye on the young generation of radio presenters coming through and at times I have been pretty critical of some of the talent that comes on air. When I head KB was in for Gareth Cliff this morning I cringed… some seriously big shoes for him to fill.
To his credit I [...]

Ruben Goldberg is probably one of the most underrated assets on radio at the moment. If you ever just listen to the way that he keeps a show going or can slide in and inject some enthusiasm to a show that is running flat and he comes across as seriously bright about current events.
I think [...]
