Bourbon Street daze / days…

Last night our team made a swing by Potch for a bit of a road trip – it was good fun and great for the budget to go partying in a student town again. On our missions we happened to swing by the Bourbon Street in Potch. Now I stand to be corrected but I heard that this is the oldest Bourbon Street club in South Africa? If somebody can confirm or deny this it would be great. I haven’t set foot in a Bourbon Street in easily 5 years so it was quite an experience – like the saying goes “The more things change, the more they stay the same!”

Instant rewind to my misspent youth!

Hhahahahaha what a party town and it was great that we were able to outlast the majority of the students that were there. I was so irritated with myself not to snap a photo of this guy we saw there – definitely Potchefstroom’s version of Vernon Koekemoer – I could have made myself some easy money. This guy was easily in his 40’s and raving away with dance moves I couldn’t believe. The fact that he seemed certain he was the only guy in the entire club made it even funnier to watch… I mean he had every move in the book and some more to add. “The Robot” came out, the shirt came off every now and then, “The Sprinkler” …. This guy was a keeper! Yup good ole Bourbon Street – The more things change – the more they stay the same!
