Is Gareth Cliff currently the best DJ on SA radio?
I believe that Gareth Cliff is currently the top SA radio presenter in terms of quality of content. It’s open to debate and I hope you guys take me up on it but I base this opinion on:
A) Shows are always entertaining
B) Nice mix of music and current events
C) Prepared to scrap a bit with his audience
D) Audience participation is good. There are plenty of arb shows out there where participation is min.
Gareth comes across as an incredibly bright guy and I think this is a lesson for aspiring radio personalities to understand. You can be a “shock jock” if you like but you need to be bright, witty and charismatic enough to back this up.
Can’t seem to see the same talent coming through - anyone got any comments here. Feel like disagreeing? Go on - make my day…

He is ok, the one problem that I have with him is that often he is very pessimistic and negative. When I’m driving to work in the morning I don’t enjoy his whining. Lighten up bru!!!

I dunno - Gareth makes me laugh - I think sometimes his “seriousness” misinterpreted… Unless you from PE … Then I think it pretty genuine!
I don’t mind Gareth, since moving to CT i have experience 94.5 KFM that seemed to offer more, competitions, good and relevant conversation and they leave me with a warm fussy feeling with all the good that they do for the community.
I believe that Gareth is Good, but i am a firm believer that people in a position to make a difference - should.

Mark Gilman gave me grief - to have Gareth running the breakfast show is a comparative pleasure. Think the Rude Awakening also getting a little long in the tooth …

I think Robby Cruz from TuksFM is currently SA’s best DJ, but then again, not everyone in SA can get TuksFM. Well, via the internet you can.
